About the devotional:
Moments with the Savior includes sixty-six meditations. As the title suggests, the devotional offers a daily or weekly dose of the Savior. The devotional has a hard cover, the cover is aesthetically appealing. The devotional would make an attractive centerpiece for a coffee or end table. Devotionals are great because you can lay them out for guests to read. And since they contain short segments, each devotional only takes a few moments to read.
My hope is that you will see in Jesus something of what others saw, hear something of what they heard, feel something of what they felt. That with them you might see him for the beautiful Savior he is. And that with them you might fall at his feet to love him whose sandals the very greatest have always felt least worthy to untie. (Introduction)
Every devotional records a moment of time, specifically a moment in Christ’s life. They each begin with a passage of Scripture, followed with exposition and application, concluding with a prayer. The devotionals are sequential, starting with Mary the mother of Jesus and finishing with the Christ’s ascension. The book includes devotionals such as, “An Intense Moment in Jerusalem,” “An Instructive Moment about Hearing,” and “An Instructive moment about Our Lives.” This devotional provides opportunities for readers to take a moment and bask in a moment of the life of our Savior. I propose that a regular moment of meditation on Jesus can provide a lifetime of blessings. If you are like me, and rarely read devotionals, I would like to encourage you to try this one out.
