Day three of my seven consecutive days of sharing and encouraging with hymns and spiritual songs.

I trusted in Christ April 30, 1997. About seven months later I acquired a music cassette tape of hymns. The man singing was an Evangelist who was dying of cancer. I will never forget where I was and how the song made me feel. I was home on leave riding in the truck with my mom when There Is a Fountain Filled With Blood began to play. That day the Spirit pressed on my heart. For the first time in my life I was moved to tears by a hymn. Till this day I continue to struggle through this song. Even yesterday while searching for the right version to play, I was moved to tears. I hope that you are blessed by this song.

For a thorough synopsis of  There Is A Fountain Filled With Blood

“There Is A Fountain”

There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains

Lose all their guilty stains
Lose all their guilty stains
And sinners plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains
The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day
And there may I, though vile as he
Wash all my sins away

Away
Away
Wash all my sins away

E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply
Redeeming love has been my theme
And shall be till I die

And shall be till I die
And shall be till I die
Redeeming love has been my theme
And shall be till I die
